Course Aims
To provide practitioners with an introduction to the specific legislation relating to working with Ex-offenders & Employment.
Course Objectives
Participants will leave with a working knowledge of the Criminal Justice Act in relation to spent convictions and a toolkit of strategies to support ex-offenders in making successful employment applications
Course Content
By the end of the session practitioners will;
- Have a thorough understanding of the Criminal Justice Act in relation to Ex- Offenders seeking employment
- Know how to disclose a criminal record
- Be equipped to formulate a strong application for employment
- Recognise what employers are looking for & identify a job ready applicant
- Be able to identify relevant external organisations to approach for further information
